Gabrielle O'Connell is a Registered Social Worker in private practice providing counselling and social work services for adults experiencing mental health and work related issues, and support to mothers. She has a background in careers, vocational rehabilitation, social services and justice sectors working with individuals and groups.
Ann Richards is a Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field in a variety of different settings for over 30 years. Ann has experience in a number of different models that are utilised in seeking to understand the needs of the client. She is focused on a client centred approach and enabling change within a practical problem-solving framework.
Ann has not contracted previously to ACC but has worked with adult survivors of past sexual abuse. Her special areas of interest include various issues within the sector of primary health care such as alcohol and other drug use and sleep difficulties. Since April 2011 Ann has been a provider under the Earthquake Recovery Counselling Services.
Ann has a B.A Hons (Applied Social Studies) with CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work). She is a member of ANZASW (Association of New Zealand Aotearoa Social Workers).
